The Maras, Moray & Chinchero Half Day Tour is a cultural and scenic experience in the Sacred Valley that visits the circular agricultural terraces of Moray, the famous Maras Salt Mines, and the traditional Andean village of Chinchero, known for its living textile traditions.
The tour lasts approximately 5 to 6 hours. It usually starts around 8:00 AM and returns to Cusco at approximately 2:00 PM, making it an ideal half-day excursion from the city.
The tour is considered easy. There is minimal walking involved, and the sites are suitable for travelers of all ages and fitness levels. No previous hiking experience is required.
Entrance tickets are not included. Visitors must purchase the Tourist Ticket for Moray and the entrance ticket to the Maras Salt Mines separately.
The best time to visit is during the dry season from April to October, when the weather is generally clear and ideal for sightseeing. The rainy season runs from November to March.
