Itinerary

The Full Day Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour begins at approximately 8:00 AM with pick-up from your hotel in Cusco. We travel along a scenic route through the mountains north of Cusco, entering one of the most important regions of the Inca Empire due to its fertile lands, mild climate, and strategic location.

Along the way, we stop at the famous Taray Viewpoint, where you will enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Sacred Valley. From here, your guide will explain the historical importance of the valley, highlighting the vast agricultural terraces and advanced irrigation systems built by the Incas.

The Sacred Valley was a vital area for Inca settlement because of its extraordinary fertility within the high Andean region. During the journey, you will witness extensive contour terraces and intricate water channels, reflecting the Incas’ deep knowledge of engineering, agriculture, and their spiritual connection with nature, known as Pachamama (Mother Earth).

Our next stop is the archaeological site of Pisac, where you will explore impressive Inca ruins, ceremonial areas, and finely crafted stone structures overlooking the valley. After the guided visit, we head into the town of Pisac to stroll through its traditional artisan market, famous for handmade textiles, ceramics, and silver jewelry.

After the market visit, we travel to the town of Urubamba for lunch at a local Andean restaurant (not included unless otherwise specified). This is a perfect opportunity to relax and enjoy regional flavors while surrounded by the beauty of the valley.

In the afternoon, we continue along the Urubamba River toward Ollantaytambo, one of the most remarkable living Inca towns. Here, we visit the archaeological complex, featuring massive terraces, temples, and rock formations believed to represent the Inca god Wiracocha.

After exploring Ollantaytambo and learning about its historical and spiritual significance, we begin our return journey to Cusco, arriving in the early evening. The tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel in Cusco.
